Because I was less than 9 stone soaking wet and man I wanted to look like Arnie! I read 'Education of a bodybuilder' cover to cover dozens of times - I would still recommend that everyone who is interested in the iron game should read it.

I've always been interested in physical culture and usually could be found with my head in a book or magazine. It seemed like a natural progression to get in the gym and start finding out first hand what it was all about. From my first day in the gym, I've never looked back.
I was fortunate enough to begin lifting weights at a time when there were lots of great bodybuilders out there to provide inspiration.
