Fat loss for athletes
Posted by Magic
Hey all,
I don't have alot of weight to lose, mostly just a flabby gut... I can run 5 minute miles and do tons of push ups and such.
What would you guys recommend for quick fat loss? Forms of cardio, diet ideas, and such. Also, how often should cardio be done and what types of it?
Thanks!

Basically lowering your caloric intake, eliminating all the bad or what are known as "simple" carbs from your diet as well as increasing your cardio will help you to lose weight.
If you have a lot to lose, it would be wise to check in with you family doc as well. Generally speaking it takes about 20 minutes of cardio to begin burning fatty acids so if you are able to slowly work your way up to four or five - 45 minute sessions per week you should see a noticeable improvement.
Cut out bread, sweets, processed foods, junk food, fried foods, and all fast food. Drink plenty of water.
Good luck!
